Bible Miracles: Properties Of Light
The main properties of light are intensity, propagation direction, frequency, and polarization, while its speed in a vacuum is 300,000 Km/s. Light travels in a straight line unless it crosses the boundary between a vacuum and another medium, or between two different media, in which case it changes its wavelength.
Once the light has been produced, it will keep traveling in a straight line until it hits something else. This property of light is recently discovered, and only 300 years back no one knew that light actually travels and that it has a way, a direction, path, and certain speed. But see what Bible says in the book of Job chapter 38 verse 19-20 and as in verse 24.
Job 38:19-20: Where is the way to the dwelling of light, and where is the place of darkness, that you may take it to its territory and that you may discern the paths to its home? ESV
Job 38:24: What is the way to the place where the light is distributed, or where the east wind is scattered upon the earth? ESV
Job 38:24: By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? KJV
Please read again and again, the words “Way of Light” and “The Light Parted.” We have just discovered these properties of light, but as you can see that in the Book of Job written almost 3000 years ago, these things are mentioned.
