Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.
He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they have committed here, that they have filled the land with violence and provoked Me repeatedly? For behold, they are putting the twig to their nose.
‘Make the chain, for the land is full of bloody crimes and the city is full of violence.
Consider the covenant; For the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence.

“As a well keeps its waters fresh, So she keeps fresh her wickedness Violence and destruction are heard in her; Sickness and wounds are ever before Me.
“Then say to the people of the land, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel, “They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water with horror, because their land will be stripped of its fullness on account of the violence of all who live in it.
Egypt will become a waste, And Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood.
“For the rich men of the city are full of violence, Her residents speak lies, And their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
How long, O LORD, will I call for help, And You will not hear? I cry out to You, “Violence!” Yet You do not save.
Why do You make me see iniquity, And cause me to look on wickedness? Yes, destruction and violence are before me; Strife exists and contention arises.
2 Timothy 3:3
unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

Draw also the spear and the battle-axe to meet those who pursue me; Say to my soul, “I am your salvation.”
Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men
From the fruit of a man’s mouth he enjoys good, But the desire of the treacherous is violence.
Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.
O that You would slay the wicked, O God; Depart from me, therefore, men of bloodshed.
‘Thus says the LORD, “Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor Also do not mistreat or do violence to the stranger, the orphan, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place.

1 Peter 2:23
and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.

2 Chronicles 28:9-15
But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the army which came to Samaria and said to them, “Behold, because the LORD, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, He has delivered them into your hand, and you have slain them in a rage which has even reached heaven. “Now you are proposing to subjugate for yourselves the people of Judah and Jerusalem for male and female slaves. Surely, do you not have transgressions of your own against the LORD your God? “Now therefore, listen to me and return the captives whom you captured from your brothers, for the burning anger of the LORD is against you.”
“My lord the king, these men have acted wickedly in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet whom they have cast into the cistern; and he will die right where he is because of the famine, for there is no more bread in the city.” Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, “Take thirty men from here under your authority and bring up Jeremiah the prophet from the cistern before he dies.” So Ebed-melech took the men under his authority and went into the king’s palace to a place beneath the storeroom and took from there worn-out clothes and worn-out rags and let them down by ropes into the cistern to Jeremiah.

“Now therefore, you and the Council notify the commander to bring him down to you, as though you were going to determine his case by a more thorough investigation; and we for our part are ready to slay him before he comes near the place.” But the son of Paul’s sister heard of their ambush, and he came and entered the barracks and told Paul.
Therefore pride is their necklace; The garment of violence covers them.
